Walt demonstrate how to pray a decade of the rosary. In class we are learning how to pray the rosary because October is the month of Mary. We have been making DLO's of the rosary beads they show you what to pray when you get to one colour. The DLO's are guides for people that don't know how to pray the rosary. I haven't finished yet, but I will finish it.

The Thirteen Storey Tree House

In class we are going through series of lessons. The lessons are cybersmart lessons. This is lesson two.For lesson two we had to make a DLO and it has to be about a book you read. I made a DLO about a book called The Thirteen Storey Tree House, written by Andy Griffiths. It was a cool book and there are some pictures in it. It kind of teaches you a lesson, like if you start writing a book you have to finish it. Have you read this book? Is there anything that I've missed? Here is my DLO:

Safety Facts On A Plane

Today for cybersmart our class had to watch two videos that tell us about how to be safe on a plane. I buddied up with Angel because her sounds don't work on her computer. When we were watching the first video I noticed that Richie Macaw, Kieren Read and Stan Walker was in the video, there was also another famous guy but I don't know him. So anyways our task was to watch the two videos and then post three important saftey tips of how to keep safe on a plane.

Four Important Tips:
Always buckle your seatbelt together.
Turn on airoplane mode on your device
Do not smoke in the plane.
If you see a bag with a yellow thing on it you put it around your face so the yellow thing is the mask that protects you from losing your breath. And before you put your childs mask on make sure you have your one on.

Summer Learning Journey Practist

In Class for Cybersmart room 4 have been practising for the Summer Learning Journey. We had to pick one country from this list: Canada, Mexico, Chile, England, Germany, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Japan, Malysia and Australia. So Miss Morgan (Cybersmart Teacher) put a timer on that was ten minutes. In that ten minutes we had to click on one of the countries flag and then read through the facts.

I Chose Japan as my country. Here are some Facts about Japan:
The name of the capital city is Tokyo.
The population of the capital city is 9.2 million.
In January the weather in the capital city is 10 degrees/ 2 degrees.
The capital city is located in the southern island.
The language most spoken in the capital city is Japanese

That are all the facts

The New Church

Today on October 17th 2018, the whole school had mass in the new church. The church started being built from last year on term 4 at the end of the term. So we all waited for a really long time for the church to be built but the workers did a really great job with the church. So my class room 4 wrote a google doc and it was all about the new church. So here is my piece of writing:

New Church

When We were standing outside the church ready to go in I felt excited because when I looked through the doors it looked very nice. Also on the outside of the church it was all white and a little navy blue. When I walked in I saw pictures and I also saw a little room that had cupboards. We walked further and I saw this big bronze bowl filled with holy water. Then I saw Mr. Norman telling us to use our right hand and put your hand into the water and then you had to do the Sign Of The Cross. I also saw two statues, when I saw them I thought that they were only statues of Mary but the other statue was of our Saint (St. Bernadette.).

I thought the the church was so big. There was the seats on each side of the church. On the right side at the back the choir was all sitting there with little booklets. On the right side again in the front there was three classes sitting down, but at the very front on the right side there was students sitting there waiting to read their prayers. On the left side that was where me and my class were sitting with two other classes. I also saw that in the middle of the church in the very front there was a statue hanging from these poles and it was of Jesus on the cross.

The church was warm, it looked so nice the way that it was decorated. On the top of the building there is a red cross and a black ceiling. We sang one song called One Faith, One Hope. On the walls there was a yellow background and then there was little brown squares with pictures on them and just below there was a brown tree. Father Palo said that Jesus is the vines and we are all the branches. The seats were wooden seats that were smooth you could slide on them. The carpet was kind of itchy. The church was absolutely big and kind of small.

The constructors started building the church at the end of term four last year. So at the start of this year the whole school sat under the shades for prayer assembly, then it was winter so the prayer assembly were split into two prayer assemblies. So there was a Senior prayer assembly and a Junior prayer assembly, Senior prayers were in room six and junior prayers were in the library. But today everyone has gone to church, so we don’t have to go to different prayer assemblies.
